The Leaks, Cont.

Drip… drip… drip…

Axios got their hands on four (4!) of Comrade Trump’s daily schedules from LAST WEEK.  You can view them here, retyped in their original format for source protection.

Axios email thingie (emboldening is mine, this time):

  • The schedules show the president spent 50% of the four days last week in non-structured “Executive Time.”
  • As we reported in our story last week, these schedules do not give a complete picture of the president’s time. Trump has a more detailed, tightly held schedule that is not emailed to senior staff. Those schedules often have one or two additional meetings per day and contain more detail about the meetings listed on the private schedules that senior staff can see.
  • For example, the schedules we obtained this week show the president had a media engagement at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Two sources with direct knowledge of the president’s most detailed schedule — the one not emailed to senior staff — said that schedule marked this time as an interview with Politico’s Tim Alberta.
  • Trump tweeted today about Axios’ previous story. “When the term Executive Time is used, I am generally working, not relaxing,” he wrote.

Captain Queeg is gonna find those strawberries, you betcha!

Former W.H. aide Cliff Simms: “There is definitely a hunt going on [for the leaker of Trump’s detailed daily schedules].”

White House Chief of Staff (Acting) Mick Mulvaney said that he’s hoping to have a resolution this week. Your gubmint at work, folks!

In an unrelated note, over the weekend Vanity Fair (pay wall) had a super-gossipy and fun article up about how everyone in the White House hates Trump. This kind of embarrassing leak is proof that VF has the essential story right.

  1. When I read this yesterday, I was inspired to change my name on Twitter to Fran “I am generally working” Szpylczyn. Of course, I might update it to Fran “not relaxing” Szpylczyn. What do you think?
