Both these things can be true. I assure you that birds are jerks.
I have a friend who inherited a Green Wing Macaw, he named Biko. Biko knows several words, including “I’m a rocker!”. My friend has a bunch of scars on his arm, from when the bird is feeling antisocial, and if you say OW to the bird, Biko will respond “That hurts!” because of how often those words go together in it’s experience.
So yes, birds are jerks. Also, my friend was very depressed when he discovered that Biko was likely to outlive him, and has often threatened to leave the bird to me in his will.
Ten Bears, I admit you made me laugh.
My school didn’t have a football team. We had the Wildcats.
Thank you but … there a log tradition amongst we who run the rivers the rivers around here upon sighting ducks taking to wing hollar Go Ducks! just cuz so, you know, runnin’ the river.* Only has a little bit to do with one of those megalopsias (uh-huh) on the west side.
I was a Grizzly a couple times, Wildcat once.
*McKenzie River Drift Boats
