Two Funerals and No Wedding: Politico Celebrates Bipartisan Moments in 2018

Both Sides

Everyone is a Teabagger

This is the kind of infuriating end-of-year list that I truly hate: Heartwarming bipartisan moments in a polarizing 2018.

Tiger Beat’s list contains exactly one (questionable) bipartisan piece of legislation (the recent First Step prison reform), and the rest of it are moments where politicians from BOTH SIDES didn’t act like dicks. Mostly they cite Grandpa Walnuts and Poppy Bushes’ funerals as great achievements in bipartisanship.

Seriously, they cite Chimpy McStagger passing a candy to Michelle Obama as a bipartisan moment.

Remember, the point of politics is not to improve people’s lives. It’s to make the Beltway Villagers feel good about themselves.
