The WaPo FactChecker introduced a new metric: the Bottomless Pinocchio.
HAWT! WORK THE POLE, BABY!!1!
The Bottomless Pinocchio “will be awarded to politicians who repeat a false claim so many times that they are, in effect, engaging in campaigns of disinformation,” which seems like a long-winded way of saying that the politician is named “Donald Trump.”
But at least they went out of their way to avoid saying that Trump “lies” or is a “liar.”
Decorum, don’t you know? But if the Fact Checker cannot or will not say that a person lies or is a liar, then what good are they?
