Stable Genius: An Update of Sorts

Stable Genius Prznint Stupid
(Credit: @MemphisJohnny1)

The WaPo’s fact checker, Glenn Kessler, says that in the first 9 months of his Preznintcy, Comrade Trump told 1,318 Lies, and in the last 7 weeks, he has told a whopping 1,419 lies, which is an average of 30 lies a day. A new land-speed record!

Sure previous Preznints have lied (WMDs and blowjobs come to mind), but living in Candyland is different and mosdef not normal. His base eats up the lies, and lying is easier than knowing, so WTF, amiright?

So why doesn’t the New Confederacy boot his ass to the curb? He has not done anything for them (no wall, no tax relief, no swamp draining), and lies to their faces 30 times per day, and the lemmings just keep marching lockstep with him. What gives?

When nothing matters, what difference does it make if his tortilla curtain is built? I think the point was to give voice to the racism of Possum Hollar.

Because to these right wing nuts a traitorous, con man, adulterer, whore, pathological liar is better than a woman. Period.
Hopefully some good will come from this in that maybe people will see that not voting can have tragic disastrous consequences. Not holding my breath on that one, some americans have proven themselves to be pretty damn stupid.

The only thing that can save us is for the Ds to win back the House AND the Senate, but I’m not wagering ANY of my hard-earned Quatloos on that outcome. Even a D majority in the House won’t be of much use – any legislation they produce will simply be vetoed by the Orange Behemoth, and without a veto-proof majority in the Senate, the wheels on the bus will spin uselessly, as it will be propped up on blocks, to ease the dismantling efforts, to give more and more to the 1%.

While i agree that it is very unlikely that the Dims will win back the Senate and so the march of the authoritarian judges will continue, unbated, taking back the HOR will, in fact, halt the gravy train for the 0.1% aka the red donor class because the HOR is where the buck starts and stops, not the Senate.

There are no words, at least polite ones anyway, to describe what that “non voting” third of our country did to the rest of us in 2016.
I still hear the echo of non thought. “what if we vote too blue and never win again”? WTF? Uh there is no ‘too blue’. But people still think this trash?
I actually do ‘hate’ tRump but even more I hate the ones that don’t care even now.
The Rethugs presume that (deaf and dumb)1/3 gives them a mandate and I just don’t see that.
We vote tomorrow and in person.
PS I’d vote to succeed from the South this time, but it isn’t that simple anymore!

T.G gets the quote of the day – “lying is easier than knowing”. The flip side is that “believing is more attractive than knowing”. Cheetollini tells lazy lies that are easy to check but knows his base will not. It would require effort, and since the lies confirm their prejudices, they already understand everything they need to know. At this point Trumpies are impervious to facts. President Shithole knows it, and regardless of the mid-term election results, this bullshit is going to continue if not accelerate. Buckle up.

Quite aside from the fact that Trump truly enjoys being an authoritarian demagogue, Trump reads nothing nor does he consult his administration’s “experts” (in the larger government not his WH advisers who are all utter garbage). All his information comes from Faux News and phone calls to Hannity and Bannon. So, he can’t really distinguish between conscious and unconscious lying.

Trump is the perfect front man for Republicans, who are largely racist, misogynistic, money hogs. Having a blowhard liar as the face of your party lets them off the hook, because he can say what they want to say and couldn’t get away with. Now it’s just “Trump being Trump” with no direct blame. McConnell and his dirty party have gotten away with more than they ever dreamed possible and expect to get more in the next two years.

That’s why our votes matter. And I know that encouraging people who are reading a political blog to go vote is preaching to the choir, but reach out to friends and family anyway. It matters.

I love it, “preaching to the choir” or not. Too many didn’t care enough to vote or we wouldn’t be “here” now.

You guys give Possum Hollar too much credit. They know he’s lying.
If 45 pisses of just one lib they’d be happy to crown him king and offer their virgin daughters as tribute.

Their lives are unending misery. They hate their jobs. They hate their spouse. They hate themselves.

Like the a$$hole who drives 50 in the fast lane – the only joy they experience is when they can see or make someone more miserable they they are.

I’d describe them as pathetic if they weren’t so vile.
