Pelosi: ‘Own October’

Weaponized Pelosi
(Stolen without shame from the much-missed Zaius Nation)

Nancy Pelosi is still a badass: she sent a letter to her colleagues with the headline: “DON’T AGONIZE, ORGANIZE: OWN OCTOBER.”

“The GOP’s decision to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court has wounded the very soul of justice in our country. …

“We must not agonize, we must organize. People must vote. What is at stake in this election is nothing less than the health and financial security of families across America. The new conservative majority on the Supreme Court threatens a rollback of protections for people with pre-existing conditions, more leverage for corporate special interests over working families, and little hope to reform Citizens United. That is why we must fight even harder to win so that we can advance our For The People agenda.”

That’s the October Surprise. Get a spine, Democrats. This is a war.

The very same Pelosi, who recently said, “Even if we win the House in Nov., we won’t be discussing impeachment”? They’re going to be too busy crafting their own special type of rat-fuckery on us lackeys.
    Don’t agonize, ANTAGONIZE!

      Dennis –

She’s trying to limit it as a campaign issue, so as to not rally Trump’s base.

That said, she’s failed us before on this issue with Chimpy, so point taken.

My take on her comment is that they won’t be even DISCUSSING impeachment after the elections, even if they have a clear majority, large enough to pull it off. I haven’t heard an explanation for this, other than the off-hand comment “We’ll be too busy doing other things,” or words to that effect. And since she’s a rep from my state, CA – but not my voting district – I’ve followed her career for many years now, and I’ve noticed she’s DEFINITELY not enamored of the Progressive sector of her Party. No, she’s a straight-ahead “Business As Usual, and Business Comes First”, never-met-a-PAC she didn’t glom onto for lotsa cash $$$ crafty old witch, one who is well-versed in her own type of rat-fuckery.

There’s a lot to NOT like about Pelosi, and yeah, I wish she was as scary as the Republican think. I’ve had a hot-cold relationship with her since the beginning (I sent her a photocopy of my donation to her primary opponent, even), and so yeah, I get it.

But if you enjoy the ACA, then you should thank her. She got it passed. She’s probably the most effective speaker in my lifetime, and I hope she’s training the next generation on how she did it because she freakin’ old and not gonna be around forever.

Yeah, if it wasn’t for Obamacare, and for CA raising the “poverty level” guideline so that I became eligible for MediCal, I wouldn’t be alive. And I’m as serious as a heart attack about that, heh-heh. And back when she was elected House Leader, I was almost ecstatic, but the honeymoon went by in a flash, and I was soon far more disappointed than I thought I ever could be. So I voted for Obama AGAIN, hoping for results that turned out to be far different than the expectations. Much of that disgruntlement could be laid at the feet of Yertle McTurdle, whom I loath & despise, but Nancy could have cracked her whip harder and more often than she did, and somehow her net worth is far greater than what it was, or even realistically should be at this point. Plus, you can almost see her salivate at the mere thought of being reinstalled in one of the most powerful positions in politics.

    As usual, Being Best…….

PS – it helps to start out gruntled. Makes it SO much easier to become disgruntled.
