IF This Was A Trial…

(Hat tip: Scissorhead D-Cap)

…This would be witness tampering: Text messages suggest Kavanaugh wanted to refute accuser’s claim before it became public (emphasis mine):

WASHINGTON — In the days leading up to a public allegation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself to a college classmate, the judge and his team were communicating behind the scenes with friends to refute the claim, according to text messages obtained by NBC News…

The texts between Berchem and Karen Yarasavage, both friends of Kavanaugh, suggest that the nominee was personally talking with former classmates about Ramirez’s story in advance of the New Yorker article that made her allegation public. In one message, Yarasavage said Kavanaugh asked her to go on the record in his defense. Two other messages show communication between Kavanaugh’s team and former classmates in advance of the story.

It’s beginning to look like, as usual, Donld Trump is not in charge of his own administration. Especially on the scope of the Kavanaugh invesstigation, McGahn is just igmoring Trump’s BS blatherings. No surprise, of course.

Now please sign this trade agreement on which little iss actually changed except its name so you can have a party.

What do people learn about the law at Yale? What does it take to pass the Bar? To clerk at the SCOTUS? To be a judge?
Seems like nobody really knows what the law is, or to whom it applies.

I thought Brett was a legacy student at Yale, which means he learned that he can do anything he wants as long as he is from the right family or has enough money to pay people off or enough power to push people around before he even got moved into the dorm.

QOTD — Michael Che on SNL’s “Weekend Update”:

“I just want to remind everybody that all this yelling and crying happened at this dude’s job interview. I mean, typically when you’re asked about a sexual assault and your drinking problem at a job interview, you don’t get the damn job!

I don’t know if Mr. Kavanaugh actually has a history of assault or if he actually has a drinking problem. But I know that he might. And you shouldn’t be on the Supreme Court if you might. You shouldn’t be on The People’s Court if you might. Sometimes ‘might’ is enough. I don’t want to pet your dog if he might bite me. I don’t want to leave you in my house if you might be a crackhead. I don’t want to have sex with you if you might have dated Charlie Sheen.”
