Woodward’s “Fear” (And Trump’s Loathing)

Seething Rage.

Sure, you’ll write the real book, bigly. Get out your Sharpie, Donnie.

Anyway, Woodward’s newest book Fear is out today, so expect revelations large and small, or probably more accurately confirmation of what we already knew/suspected.

Anyway, Comrade Stupid’s reaction gets a little funnier: it’s all lies AND he’s reportedly furious that his staff leaked to Woodward:

President Donald Trump has called journalist Bob Woodward’s book on his administration a work of “fiction” and a “scam,” claiming that quotes in the book are “made up” and that the author is a “liar.”

At the same time, sources familiar with his thinking said he is livid at his former economic adviser, Gary Cohn, and his former staff secretary, Rob Porter, for “leaking” to Woodward.

Now, in my world, the stories in the book cannot be both lies and the truth leaked-out by traitors to the mang0-hued Shitgibbon, but Comrade Stupid lives Schrödinger’s box next to the live/dead cat, I guess?

Anyway, according to Axio morning email thingie, here’s Woodward’s book publicity tour just for this week:

Too bad Woodward has hundreds of hours of taped recordings of the interviews locked away in a safe place. When you watch 6 to 8 hours of news per day, golf every weekend and tweet the rest of the time, it’s a miracle he can preznint at all. (Is too a verb!)

  3. Watched him on Colbert last night, He schooled Stephen on how he does his thing. He shows up (often at home!), is honest with people, and listens to them. He related how “Well, I ask them if they have any notes or other records of that time, and they’ll inevitably san “oh no, I don’t have anything”. By the 8th or 9th time I sit down with them, they’ll say “Oh I have a few things up in the office” They’ll walk upstairs and come down with a couple [Woodward mimes carrying an R-Kive box-sized box] boxes of papers.”

It was a good, thoughtful interview. Woodward also said, he has one advantage national reporters don’t: time. The time to cultivate and interrogate these sources. (because that’s exactly what he’s doing…the right way. No threats, no strong-armings, just listen to them)
