We’re Waiting

Little Kremlin-on-the-Potomac

Sam Patten, an associate of Paul Manafort, pleaded guilty to failing to register as a foreign lobbyist. Patten told prosecutors that he had arranged for the purchase of four  Willy Wonka Golden Tickets tickets to the Russian Usurper’s inauguration with $50,000 of a foreign oligarch’s money, which is patently illegal. But given how poorly attended the inauguration was, can you blame him for running a game on the side?

This is important because this is foreign money coming into Comrade Trump’s 2016 Goat Rodeo run. This story is not getting enough attention, and Wrong-Again Rude was, well, wrong again:

“I think Mueller has turned out to be a private prosecutor. What does this have to do with President Trump? Not a single thing. It has nothing to do with collusion, some guy who donated to the inauguration? My goodness, they had 500,000 people donate to the inauguration—every time they get a speeding ticket is Mueller going to do it?”

…but of course Rudy’s job is to run a PR Campaign in the court of public appeal.

So we’re waiting to learn if Comrade Trump knew about it. Was the money used to compromise him?

And speaking of Kompromat, I was reading with some interest the news last night that someone leaked some testimony from the latest witch that is hunting Comrade Stupid, the much put-upon Department of Justice lawyer Bruce Ohr:

WASHINGTON (AP) — A senior Justice Department lawyer says a former British spy told him at a breakfast meeting two years ago that Russian intelligence believed it had Donald Trump “over a barrel,” according to multiple people familiar with the encounter.

The lawyer, Bruce Ohr, also says he learned that a Trump campaign aide had met with higher-level Russian officials than the aide had acknowledged, the people said.

The previously unreported details of the July 30, 2016, breakfast with Christopher Steele, which Ohr described to lawmakers this week in a private interview, reveal an exchange of potentially explosive information about Trump between two men the president has relentlessly sought to discredit.

And it occurs to me that besides being wrong as usual, Upchuck is going to have to wait for Mr. Mueller, who is not working to Upchuck’s schedule, the bastard. Doesn’t Mueller know that The Spice Must Flow?

Besides waiting for Robert Mueller to deliver his collusion and obstruction report to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, here’s some other things we’re waiting for:

  • Paul Manafort’s second trial, which starts on September 24
  • Michael Cohen prosecution to reveal many new surprises
  • The Blue Wave (or is it a Red Tide?) and whatever new investigations having some oversight will bring
  • Roger Stone’s much-anticipated indictment
  • Junior Mint’s indictment
  • Comrade Trump to fire AG Jefferson Beauregard ‘Stonewall’ Session III, and probably Rod Rosenstein while he’s at it
  • Comrade Stupid to fire Mueller

And you know these things are all coming. It’s FatNixon’s Watergate.

There is so much waiting. It’s too bad that Upchuck didn’t go to the beach, but I suppose the people who did go are grateful that he was not there.

As Rachel pointed out, no one goes to the trouble of using a strawman donor to funnel the foreign money through and thus hide a trail leading to a federal crime unless they expect something in return for that donation. The foreign, illegal donation came from Russia, in exchange for a favor which is yet to be revealed, and it went to Comrade Stupid’s inauguration committee which, sorry Rudy, has everything to do with Trump and collusion. By the way, the inauguration committee has had a difficult time explaining what all of its millions of left over dollars in donations actually was spent on, or more likely funneled to illegally, after the dud of a celebration was over and no one was watching.

      5,000 MAGA hats.

      Yknow – campaign expenses.

    • Yes, like the cool $26 million given to Melanoma’s buddy the ‘event planner’ who didn’t actually plan the event. How much did Ukraine Paulie owe the Russian mob? think maybe ‘event planning’ was the conduit? That would explain Paulie’s lack of a Polonium Tea Party so far…

Upchuck only heeds the advice of Intellectual Conservatives. That’s why he’s usually wrong.

Again another short but informational post. I love both the news posts and the palate cleanser midday posts. I recommend people to check out the blog and to look around at the offerings there. Here is a sample, but there are many more gems to read at the web site. Hugs
