The Lyin’, the Witch Hunt, and the Wardrobe: Day 10

“I hear Curaçao is nice.”

James Brennan of Federal Savings Bank, put the finishing touches on how his bank’s founder and chairman, Stephen Calk, assisted in Manafort’s fraud by pushing $16 million in loans the bank knew were too risky to give. And we see the list of jobs that Calk would accept in return for $16M Ameros.

The Gubmint rests their case!

The big question for today (day 11) is whether or not the defense will offer up any witnesses (oh, like Paulie hisself, which would be a riot if they did), or if both sides will present their closing arguments and have it go directly to the jury.

    Will “Dapper Dan” Manafort testify?

What’s he going to say “I forgot bank fraud, tax evasion, and lying on my financial disclosure forms was illegal.”

  2. RWW says:

The defense won’t call any witnesses, but will be having Manafort give the closing argument himself. He’ll dramatically stride into the courtroom decked out in his ostrich coat and yell to the jury “I’ve got one word for you bitchez…PARDON” and then sit down triumphantly.

Well, hell! The defense rested without so much as a ‘by your leave, Your Honor.’

Manafort merely said “Hell, no, I’m not going to testify! Do I look stupid? Wait, I didn’t mean my ‘outfit’…

That can only mean one thing; the president* has tol/gotten word to manafort that a pardon is a done deal.
