Trump CFO To Testify Under Oath

CBS News tells us…

Allen Weisselberg, the chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, has been subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday. Weisselberg, the Journal reported, is considered a witness in the federal criminal investigation into longtime Trump attorney Michael Cohen and his business dealings.

Oh, boy! Following the news of Cohen turning on him like a rat in drain, this new development ought to make Comrade Stupid feel like he just got knee’ed in the ‘nads!

Weisselberg has worked for the Trump family for decades. Now, his position as the organization’s CFO means he has access to the most detailed financial data and inner workings of Mr. Trump’s business dealings. Despite his close role to the Trumps, Weisselberg has kept a relatively low profile through the years.

Not any more! Look, if the guy who has prepared all the tax returns for decades is testifying under oath in front of a Federal Grand Jury, who knows what might come out? I believe that they do not get to have a lawyer present to shout “Objection!” to questions that might, you know, not be immediately related to the matter at hand.

Can he take the Fifth? Does anyone here think he’d lie and court perjury charges to protect Trump? I’ll take my answer off the air.

He’ll be under oath, so Mueller can indict him for perjury. Why? Do you really think a lawyer if Mueller’s caliber won’t know the answer to every question he asks?

      In Mueller I trust.

    • Yes, repeat after me: “I invoke my fifth amendment right against being served Russian Tea self-incrimination, and refuse to answer.”

I suspect he’ll spend the entire time like a tape loop of the above. He and Cohen have been too tangled up in Trump’s ‘thing of theirs’ for them all not to be in it all up to their great-grandchildren’s eyeballs.

Weisselberg started his career with the trump crime family back in the Fred trump days, he’s one of the OGs.

Also, too, I expect his colon is in GREAT shape, since he’s likely been shitting bricks since Nov 2016. No one in the trump org expected Trump to win…this was all supposed to be a grift tied to losing.

      Pooty-poot fucked them too.

“Unlike the person questioned by a police officer, the subpoenaed witness is compelled to answer questions before the grand jury unless the witness can claim an evidentiary privilege, such as the marital privilege or the privilege against self-incrimination. If the witness refuses to testify without such legal justification, the witness will be held in contempt and subjected to incarceration. Ordinarily, the recalcitrant witness will be held in “civil contempt,” which means the witness will be released when willing to testify, or if unwilling, when the grand jury term ends. Criminal contempt is available if the grand jury no longer has need for the witness’ testimony, and it commonly carries a jail term of several months to a few years. If the witness testifies and fails to tell the truth, the witness may be prosecuted for perjury since the testimony is given under oath. Here the potential prison term is substantially longer.”

Fine, the rest of us have been feeling that way for a year and a half.

Even if Weisselberg takes the Fifth, that will be pretty revealing. You can hardly claim a risk of self-incrimination if nothing naughty was going on.

Trump is probably wishing he’d never run for President.
