Good Morning Indiana! Walking termite buffet Mike Pence owes you $21M Ameros!
The state of Indiana has spent at least $21 million to clean up the contaminated sites left behind by Vice President Pence’s shuttered family gas stations, The Associated Press reported Friday.
Yup, small gubmint-, personal responsibility-, family values-loving Ayatollah Pence dined-and-dashed and left Indiana with the bill to clean up the toxic mess (well, the physical toxic mess) his family left behind when their string of 200+ gas stations closed. (Also/too: that’s a lot of gas stations! I thought he claimed to come from humble means. So that was a lie, too? Shocked, I am.)
But don’t feel too bad: he screwed Kentucky and Illinois, too:
Kentucky and Illinois have also had to clean up contamination left behind by the gas stations, spending about $1.7 million on more than 25 of Kiel Bros.’s former sites, the AP reported.
So, in addition to ruining Indiana’s economy by declaring war on the mo’s and having all the long-term sports events cancelled and having businesses move out/cancel expansion plans, Pence has now stuck you with the bill for the family bidness.
Pence spokeswoman Alyssa Farah told the AP that the amounts were “a years old issue” and that Pence has addressed them in the past.
As one does. By saying one did.
And a spokeswoman for Pence’s older brother Greg Pence, a current congressional candidate and the president of Kiel Bros. at the time of its closure, said he “has had nothing to do with Kiel Bros since 2004.”
Dodging personal responsibility since 2004 is quite a slogan.
