Why You Should Turn Off Panel Discussions

The Death of the Media

We’ve long said that St. Ronnie got it exactly wrong:

The nine most frightening words are not “I’m from the government and I’m here to help,” they are, “Let’s turn to our power-house panel to discuss…”

Our new rule: shut off the teevee machine when anyone (but especially CNN) says anything about a panel discussion.

Here’s Exhibit A:

First of all: BOTH SIDE DON’T. And secondly, that is some serious tone-policing going on there. The Village is in a snit that the little people are expressing themselves and not listening to their betters, ie, The Villagers.

CNN is a burning trash heap, but come’on David Gergen would have been in his 20s during the protests he lists, surely he must remember what it was really like?

Wow, I kinda thought David Gergen had already shuffled off to the valour fainting couch in the big green room in the sky where his type ends up.

The Civil Rights movement was more polite? Is he referring to the fact that the protesters put up with truly abusive and assaultive behavior without responding with violence in return, for a while? Remember the police dog in the protester’s face? … the fire hoses, the church bombings? And when that had gone on long enough for the frustrations to fester and burst – the riots began. What the hell is wrong with these people?

I guess in his book assassination, lynching and torture are civil while refusing to serve someone is a crime against humanity.

Oh wait, one was white. That explains it.

I’d love to see what would happen if all of DC showed up at Hair Fuhrer’s crappy restaurant and how quickly the blahs would be ejected.

        Just sayin’

    CNN’s number – 1 (404) 827-1500
Is there even any point? But there it is.

I see where Gergen could get confused. 4 peaceful protesters shot dead by the National Guard at Kent State University, vs. Sarah Huckabee Sanders sent home without her dinner. Entirely similar circumstances, for sure. /S
