White House’s Truth Teller, Elmira Gantry Huckabee-Sanders

Elmira Gantry Huckabee-Sanders got a hankerin’ on Friday night for some vittles, and wandered in from Possum Hollar to the big city. Upon bein’ spotted and ID’ed, she was asked to leave:

So moved, was I, that I replied:

Anyway, back to Sanders. First off, she Tweeted from her government account, not her private account, and that is an ethics violation and actually something someone interested in enforcing could make actionable. But it is to laugh.

Secondly, Elmira’s assertion that she always do her best to treat people, including those she disagree with, respectfully is bullshit on the face of it. On those rare days that she holds White House briefings, she treats the press with contempt and scorn. Ask CNN’s Jim Acosta.

Lastly, maybe Elmira Gantry should have ordered the cake. Perhaps the owner of the establishment has some sincerely held religious beliefs to not serve her kind: assholes.

I keep laughing when the word “ethics” and anyone in this administration are used in the same sentence.
And wasn’t the right to refuse service due to deeply held beliefs something Slanders and her ilk fought for? Bite you ass much, Sarah?

The owner democratically got with her staff and took a vote. She was voted out. Something an authoritarian does not appreciate or understand.

    More, please.

The next time Sarah wants to inflict herself on Lexington, Google Maps shows a Papa John’s in the area. Papa John’s an asshole so Sarah should feel right at home.

There’s always Waffle House. Since she’s a white lady, they might not charge her extra for the plastic cutlery.

Lie down with a pig and you stink too bad to eat in public.

Poor S’uckabee. Guess she’ll have to do like her revered boss and eat cheeseburgers in her bed.

She was asked to leave with grace, as far as I heard, and she never even deserved that. I would have met her at the door and told her plainly, “We don’t serve your kind in my place. This is a restaurant for good people”.

RWNJ’s from around the country are promising to never eat at Red Hen in Lexington, VA.

“Spell it!” the owner did not say.

Sarah had to leave a restaurant in Virginia and several
days ago another high ranking person was hounded out
    of a restaurant in NYC(?).

Whatever happened to the adage live and let live.

Tragic things going on in the lower 48.

      Far from tragic IMO.

These people who verbally shame and publicly shun the corrupt, the unethical and the despicable are the best America has to offer.

They make me proud and give me the confidence to say we will come through this. We will regain our standing in the world. And if we are no longer seen as the unquestioned leaders of the “free world” that piece of humble pie may do us, and the rest of the world more good than any would expect.

I could almost feel sorry for her. But she has been such a snarling, arrogant and obnoxious Trump enabler and apologist that I think this rebuke from an “ordinary citizen” is earned. She is the mouthpiece for a grossly immoral and corrupt presidency. If bakers have a right to deny service to a gay couple, a restaurant owner surely has the right to refuse service to the spokesperson of a President who has made child abuse State policy.

Maybe, just maybe, this will cause her to reflect on the morality of her own role in this atrocity.

Maybe it’s obvious, but I want to make clear that I think the “we don’t serve your kind” baker decision is wrong. There should be no constitutional “freedom of religion right” to discriminate on the basis of orientation, any more than there should be on someone’s else ethnicity or own religious faith. My point is that nothing in the law of public accommodations prevents one form refusing to serve someone else for views that he of she finds morally repugnant.

    • MDavis says:

It was another case of someone in the court system being a dick.specifically a dick about the baker’s religion. They tossed this particular can down the road by saying, basically, the case was tainted because one of the court members called the baker’s religion contemptible.

I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on with her face.

The Red Hen, that Virginia restaurant that rejected and ejected The Possum Queen, must have received the warnings about Trump tainted meat.
