The LATimes:

San Diego County could become a site where tens of thousands of migrants would be housed indefinitely by the U.S. government under the zero-tolerance immigration policy implemented by President Trump.
According to a report published Friday by Time magazine, military leaders are drawing up plans to create a tent city at Camp Pendleton to detain as many as 47,000 migrants from Central America and other locations…

…Officials at Camp Pendleton said they know nothing about the project.

“Camp Pendleton is unaware of any plan to house detainees on our base,” Capt Luke Weaver said in a statement.

Um, wait. What? It’s almost like Hair Furher is winging it?

On Wednesday morning, the president asked for a document that would — at least temporarily — reunite parents and children separated by his administration’s zero tolerance immigration policy. That afternoon, over the objections of several of his senior advisers and lawyers, he signed an order that had been dashed together in a matter of hours…

…At agencies from the Department of Homeland Security to the Department of Justice and the Department of Defense, which has been asked to help house illegal immigrants and their children, officials say they remain uncertain how to carry out an order they aren’t sure is legal in the first place.

OK, so it is FUBAR as usual.

The Department of Health and Human Services on Friday created an “unaccompanied children reunification task force,” a first step toward reunifying thousands of migrant children in the agency’s custody with their families, according to an internal document obtained by POLITICO.

The task force was established by the assistant secretary for preparedness and response — the arm of the agency that responds to public health disasters, and an indication that the challenge of reunifying thousands of families is likely beyond the capabilities of the refugee office.

Jeebus. One wonders if Comrade Stupid knows that by kidnapping these children for his vile political purposes to leverage funding for his stupid wall, he’s creating a new generation of Dreamers, you know, immigrant kids who were brought and raised here through no fault of their own.

And I laugh at all the conservatives complaining of how much it costs to allow immigrants into the country. (Very little, actually.) But the costs of keeping them imprisoned is approx. 5 times as much. $775 PER NIGHT according to reliable sources who gleaned the info from the private prison companies who are charged with handling the details of the incarcerations. One wonders if accommodations could be had for a similar fee at, say, certain luxury hotels located throughout the world, bearing the name of He Who Shall Remain Nameless.
But what the hell, profits & dividends are UP! WAY UP! for these private prison companies. And guess who has investments in them? Yep, the AG of the US. And POTUS, as well.

As a Canadian, there is a huge need to escape our winter, so of course we head to Arizona for 3 months. We stay in a small town (rural) surrounded by lots of agricultural activity. I can tell you that busloads of Mexican workers arrive on time every day to work for local farmers. p.s. they travel on their own time. They come equipped with their own outhouses which must return (full) across the border to be disposed. No way can they leave Mexican shite here to rest in AZ! These are the hardest working folks I have seen — and I can honestly attest to the fact that there are no MAGA Trump voters from Possum Hollar contributing to the local farm community via work. Much of that lettuce heads up to Canada via I-5 and sells from a good $3/head. As well much of the broccolia heads to Japan (they don’t want heads bigger than 4″ across). So, if one chooses to think about it, Mexican labourers greatly assist in creating a positive balance to the US. But, of course, the Rethuglicans definitely do not wish to hear about this or acknowedge. Sad??

Meanwhile “Mr Republican” has increased the size of Government again, and wasted more Tax dollars again. All over something that is part of his “paranoia”.
Of course not even counting the horrors a “smash and grab” had on those poor kids.
Follow the money I say, and not just the Government camps but all the private contractors involved. It has the smell of a profit manufacturing operation to me.

It’s all a red herring, TG, and I’m astonished you don’t seem to have realized it yet.

Oh sure, they might throw a bunch of brown people in them in the early going, you know, just to fake us all out.
But they’re really building those camps for scissorheads and all the other people who call Der Führer bad names.

As some day it may happen that a victim must be found
    I’ve got a little list – I’ve got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground

      Nice use of G&S — 1% of 1/10 of a bonus point!

I’m fairly reasonably certain that our armed forces are diverse enough that when Hair Furher orders all the (x) into the camps that some of the (x) will include the military ordered to be rounded up. I cannot see that they would obey it.

Of course, I also have a hard time believing that ICE found enough monsters who were actually willing to enforce the Zero Tolerance policy and rip babies away from their parents. Maybe I should listen to you more?

This is not FUBAR. FUBAR is dependant upon some kind of unfucked normalcy that this can be fucked beyond recognition of. Here there is no normalcy, there never was. There is only fucked up, screwed over, pissed away FUNAR!

Over time the US Army has produced one hellacious shitload of FUBAR. They are good at it, they’ve had a lot of experience, but Trump makes them look like pikers. In its 243 years of existence this June 14th until now, the US Army has been unable to produce half enough FUBAR to replicate the performance of the Trump Presidency.

    And that’s fucked up.

Remember in 2016 when Trump bragged to the media that as President he was going to be “unpredictable” and how much FUN that would be?

And the MSM listened, nodded their heads, and went back to babbling about Clinton’s e-mails.

Jesus, people….she fucking warned you, warned all of us. This was ENTIRELY predictable.
