And by fixed, well, think about what a veterinarian does.
And once again, Mikhail, er, Michael Cohen is in the news! Let’s see what Comrade Trump’s Stupidest Lawyer™ (sorry Rudy!) is up to now!
“Michael Cohen, President Trump’s longtime confidant and former personal attorney, has resigned from his post as deputy finance chair of the [RNC’s] Finance Committee, sources close to the RNC told ABC News. In his resignation letter to Ronna McDaniel, the RNC chair, Cohen cited the ongoing special counsel investigation as one reason for his departure.”
Sweet Jeebus, ABC, you buried the lead! “Ronna Romney Doesn’t Fire Michael Cohen” is what the article should be called, or maybe, “WTF Does It Take To Be Fired By The RNC?”
But wait! There’s more! Mikhail criticizes Hair Fuhrer’s kidnapping policy as part of his resignation:
“As the son of a Polish holocaust survivor, the images and sounds of this family separation policy is heart-wrenching,” Cohen wrote.
“While I strongly support measures that will secure our porous borders, children should never be used as bargaining chips.”
…and what that has to do with his resignation, I’m not really certain. Paying off porn stars is one thing, but kidnapping children is a bridge too far. That’s actually something I think most of us would agree on a sliding scale is far, far worse.
Maybe it is another smoke signal that he’s flipping?
We move on to the next story (WSJ), one that might lure the reclusive, shy, and retiring Michael Avenatti out of the shadows to make a statement:
“Federal authorities have subpoenaed the publisher of the National Enquirer for records related to its $150,000 payment to a former Playboy model for the rights to her story alleging an affair with Donald Trump, according to people familiar with the matter. The subpoena from Manhattan federal prosecutors requesting information from the publisher, American Media Inc., about its August 2016 payment to Karen McDougal is part of a broader criminal investigation of Mr. Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen …
“Investigators are probing any potential efforts by Mr. Cohen to suppress damaging information about Mr. Trump during the presidential campaign, including whether he coordinated with American Media to pay Ms. McDougal and then not publish her account, other people familiar with the matter said. Prosecutors are examining whether the payment violated campaign-finance or other laws.”
Now as you can tell, this has POTENTIAL written all over it. If the gossip rag has been suppressing one story about Comrade Trump, they might be suppressing more stories about Comrade Trump, like maybe he might have paid some woman to have an abortion but I’m only guessing that is a potential story, there are so far no allegations of that… But you know that if the Fixer’s files seized by Mr. Mueller have more mysterious payments, well, it becomes much more interesting, shall we say?
