Michael/Mikhail Cohen: Hung Out To Dry

Comrade Stupid’s most stupidest Lawyer Michael Cohen (sorry Rudy, you lost) is perhaps criminally stupid:

“Attorney Michael Cohen was secretly paid at least $400,000 by Ukrainians to set up talks between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko last June, the BBC reportedWednesday.”

So why would Ukraine’s President Poroshenko want to pay someone to set up a meeting? Don’t heads of state generally meet each other?

Oops. They chose poorly:

“Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton’s allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found.”

So Ukraine figured out that Comrade Stupid has thin skin and would not like them since they preferred Hillary, so they were willing to pay-to-play. And after Trump’s Fourth Reich demanded that the GOP support the Russians by removing the Ukraine plank from their platform, well, who could blame them for supporting Hillary? I mean, other than Comrade Stupid.

Anyway, Cohen as we know, is not a registered lobbyist and this lobbying is a crime, bigly. Perhaps the lever’s fulcrum just moved and Mr. Mueller will have even more leverage to flip him? Yeah.

Unfair! We can’t expect a graduate of the country’s worst law school to know the law.

I don’t think compliance with the law entered into his calculus at all. He saw an opportunity to Peddle influence for huge bucks and couldn’t pass it up, thinking that he would never get caught.

He’s a criminal lawyer in the Breaking Bad sense of the word.
