Sen. Marco ‘Big Gulp’ Rubio told the Economist magazine that there is “no evidence whatsoever” that the new tax law (Billions for Billionaires) benefits workers at all.
Color me shocked.
Rubio said he saw no signs of investment or hiring or anything that would benefit workers, as opposed to stockholders and top executives. Rubio noted that corporations have used the buckets of Ameros to buy back their shares (thus raising the price of their stock) and pay executives bonuses.
This is not the message that amply be-chinned Mitch McConnell wants to broadcast for the midterms, and he certainly doesn’t want it coming from a reasonably likable and well-known Republican
robot and potential future presidential candidate.
A recent poll shows that more than half of registered voters haven’t noticed any pay increase, so, you know, Li’l Marco’s words might note some essential truth in the lizard brains of Possum Hollar. We expect to see ol’ Mitch driving a white van down by the river with a thrashing canvas bag in the back. Maybe delivering a severed horse head first? Whatever the proper protocol is, after all Mitch is a gentleman.
So when the sages of Possum Hollar have not seen a pay increase, a prominent
robot Republican says that few workers have gotten any more Ameros, and the Dims say that all the loot went to the Swamp’s Landlords, what Will Wingnuttia campaign on in the 2018 Pie Fight?
My guess is that they will go with them thieving godless libs gonna impeach Comrade Preznint Stupid if y’all don’t vote! Which might get us lazy libs to the polls. Keep talking, Marco. Besides, it’s fun to see Mitch chasing after you, his jowls all akimbo.
