E-Squared Puts On The Red Shirt

Ewick is part of the landing party.

Our old pal Ewick son of Ewick has a post up at his new blog, The Regurgent, er  The Resurgent (“where the elite meet to beat the heat”), and it alleges (not like how Rod Dreher alleges to have letters frrom his readers, all of whom sound exactly like Rod Dreher) to have an off-the-record conversation with a high ranking GOP member of Congress who wanted to vent about Prznint Stupid:

“I read you writing about this, about wanting to say nice things when you can and criticize when you need to. He may be an idiot, but he’s still the President and leader of my party and he is capable of doing some things right,” he says before conceding it’s usually other people doing the right things in the President’s name. “But dammit he’s taking us all down with him. We are well and truly f**ked in November. Kevin [McCarthy] is already circling like a green fly circling sh*t trying to take Paul’s [Ryan] job because nobody thinks he’s sticking around for Nancy [Pelosi]. She’s going to f**k up the cafeteria again too. [Lord’s name in vain], at least I’ll probably lose too and won’t have to put up with that sh*t.” He won’t lose. His district is very Republican.

[Ed. Love that sanctimonious E-Squared had to clean up The Lord’s name in vain, but left in all the f-bombs and shits in decipherable ways.]

“It’s like Forrest Gump won the presidency, but an evil, really f*cking stupid Forrest Gump. He can’t help himself. He’s just a f**king idiot who thinks he’s winning when people are b*tching about him. He really does see the world as ratings and attention. I hate Forrest Gump…”

And it goes on to the racing form for impeachment. I hate linking to Ewick, but it’s a fun read.

First time I ever saw a turd wearing a red hair shirt, No, wait! I’m forgetting about the Christianists.

It’s been an open secret for a long time that many, perhaps most, Congressional Republicans feel this way about Trump. They know full well he’s incompetent and dangerous, and he’s insulted many of them. They don’t oppose him in public because they’re frightened the idolatrous Trumpanzees will quit voting for them. That’s also why they keep warning Trump not to fire Mueller, but are scared to vote for legislation to actually prevent it (until recently, anyway).

If Trump ever does lose mass support among wingnut voters, the Republicans in Congress will turn on him like a swarm of rabid piranhas. It won’t be pretty, but it will be entertaining, from a safe distance.

Minor quibble: god-damn is not taking The Lord’s Name in vain. Swearing to your god you will do something you either don’t or never intended to do, is taking The Lord’s Name in vain. God-damn it.
