So, who’s watching the banks?
NEW YORK (AP) — In the 135 days since the Trump administration took control of the nation’s consumer watchdog agency, it has not recorded a single enforcement action against banks, credit card companies, debt collectors or any finance companies whatsoever.
But you know, your data is leaked all over the innernet from these institutions who place no value on your privacy. Remember that bank employee who left a laptop with all of their customers credit info in an unlocked car while s/he went to Starbucks? It was a long time ago, but there was no penalty for that. It was one of the cases that led to the creation of the Consumer Protection Bureau.
And we’re right back to it.
Thanks a lot, Prznint Stupid.
The Consumer Protection Agency (under Trump) is there to protect the corporations (they are PEOPLE ya know) from the wrath of the consumers ( they ain’t really people till they are worth at least $100 million) they have screwed over. They are doing a great job, the best.

True, they’re killing consumer protection, but the deteriorating environment they’re providing should take our minds off getting screwed.
