Greetings from Possum Hollar!
The Republicans in Alamosa County in Colorado must have misplaced their dog whistle over the weekend:
Out of self-respect–be Republican. Democrats love poor people because they think that poor people will vote Democrat. Republicans hate poor people because they think the dignity of man is above being poor.
— Alamosa Republicans (@alamosagop) March 30, 2018
Holy crap, they used their outdoor voice!
And then they marched it back:
“Hate has no home here. On behalf of the Alamosa County Republicans, and as the Chair of that organization, please accept this apology for the inappropriate and offensive post made on this site on March 30, 2018. The author acted independently and without the concurrence of any other member of the Alamosa County Republicans. The regrettable post was made with the intention of condemning poverty, not persons affected by poverty, and was not meant to insult anyone. However, that occurred, and the author sincerely regrets the post and has offered his resignation from his position with the Alamosa County Republicans, which has been accepted. Actions have consequences.”
Gosh, but Republicans are still defending Laura Ingraham saying that her words should not have triggered a backlash. The First Amendment is really hard for Wingnuts.
I would lose ALL respect for myself, if I were to ally with the party that has submitted to operating under the tRump “brand.” And I happen to like having a few mirrors in the house, which I would either have to cover or destroy, as I could no longer face myself.
Hey, maybe THAT’S their secret – vampirism! They cast no reflection, so they never have to see what god-awful creatures they’ve become.

Yes, Vampires and Republicans. One is a bloodthirsty monster that destroys people’s lives, spreads death and destruction everywhere and is difficult to stop. The other sucks your blood.

I’m pretty sure that like a Black Hole, Republicans are so dense that they absorb light, not emit it.

Fun fact – Alamosa ranks 57th out of 64 Colorado Counties in per capita income. The 7 counties that are poorer than Alamosa are mostly clustered in the same area.

Funny how the Repubs hate poor people when they don’t need anything for them. Yet, many Trump supporters tell me that he cares about the little people. I guess he never got around to sending his ‘we no longer hate poor people’ memo. Must have been buried under the Stormy Daniels paperwork.

Sadly, the voters in Possum Holler don’t seem to care so, no big deal.

Yeah they find it really annoying when the people they shoot their mouths off at don’t just lie down and shut up.
That’s why they like the Second Amendment so much.

OK. They hate poor people, but how do they feel about minorities?

Oops. Maybe the author meant “black people”, not “poor people”.
Really, from their history we know who they hate, and how to fill in the blank. “Blacks, Mexicans, immigrants, Muslims, journalists, educators, liberals, scientists,” etc.
