Yes, the trade wars is a not-so-hidden tax increase.

    According to Billionaire Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, the price of soup will only go up by a fraction of a penny so no one really cares. I feel confident that Billionaire Ross has taken into consideration the difference between wholesale and retail prices plus every other unintended consequence that is sure to follow. Think happy thoughts, though, just in case.

    • I’m sure Willlbuuuurrrr managed to collect a nice commission kickback friendly gift from the CEO’s and lobbyists he literally snuck into the WH to get this passed. If nothing else Carl Icahn should kick him a bit of the profits from his insider trading purley coinki-dinky sale of affected stocks in the weeks leading up to this.

      They’re not even bothering to put a fig leaf over the corruption any more…
