The Morning Quote

“I am so sorry that these people have lost their faith in America,” [David Hogg] said. “I know I certainly haven’t. … I am not a crisis actor, I am somebody who had to witness this and live through this and I continue to have to do that.”

Again…this whole ‘crisis actors’ trope? There’s a reason the originators of this trash are referred to as Deplorables.

The Deplorables are becoming more despicable with each new incident. The ammosexuals and gundamentalists will not fare well, and the Rethuglicons are going down this fall. I have hope for this generation, and perhaps more of us will join them in their call for common sense gun laws and restrictions.

The Republicans and the Gun Lovers would do well to actually listen to these young adults. No rhetoric, no anger, no accusatory tone, just simple, honest thoughts about something that has turned their lives upside down. And knowing that the Republicans stand against fixing the problem shows who they are and what lengths they will go to to keep guns out there.

    Interview takeaway:
The New Boss, Hogg: “high school students shouldn’t have to live through something like this and having sensible regulation on gun ownership wouldn’t break the second amendment.”
Cooper: “Here are some tweets – SQUIRREL!”
The New Boss, Hogg: “That’s pretty disturbing, but high school students shouldn’t have to live through something like this and having sensible regulation on gun ownership wouldn’t break the second amendment.”
Well done, David Hogg. Well done.
