And Now Read This

Susie Madrak over at Crooks and Liars has a positive message that we all need to read and consider:

“What’s different this time is that voters have a year of resistance under their belts. They know the war isn’t won, and they’re in for the long haul.

“What’s different this time is that victims and families of victims in the Parkland shooting have correctly identified the cause, and moved directly past stunned grief to anger, and a righteous demand for change.

“What’s different this time is that Republicans are deeply afraid. Democrats have won almost three dozen special elections in the past year, and Republicans know a giant blue wave is coming. You can see them announce their retirements, rats ahead of a sinking ship.”

I’ve never been a single-issue voter, but all these slaughters are nudging me in that direction. If anyone on my primary ballot has NRA blood money, I’m not voting for them. And that includes the Dims.

It’s never a single issue- the Basket of Deplorables has a Bag of Bad Policy.

Ask your representatives about the blood on their hands from the NRA. The Ohio Republican Senator Rob Portman got over $60,000 in support money. His office is trying to shimmy out of the blame, but we know where that money came from. It’s blood money.

If we can’t take them out back of the barn and summarily execute them, can we at least round them up, at gunpoint if need be, stuff them into cattle cars and “escort” them to reservations somewhere out in the hinterlands?

It’s not just this who receive NRA money. I will not vote for anyone who has an NRA grade of A-C.

It’s beyond time to name our domestic enemies: the GOP and the NRA, the engines of our national suicide.
