Stormy Weather

Rubbed down to a nubbin.

This is to laugh:

“Michael D. Cohen, President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, said on Tuesday that he had paid $130,000 out of his own pocket to a pornographic-film actress who had once claimed to have had an affair with Mr. Trump.

“In the most detailed explanation of the 2016 payment made to the actress, Stephanie Clifford, Mr. Cohen, who worked as a counsel to the Trump Organization for more than a decade, said he was not reimbursed for the payment. ‘Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly,’ Mr. Cohen said in a statement to The New York Times.

“‘The payment to Ms. Clifford was lawful, and was not a campaign contribution or a campaign expenditure by anyone.’ He declined to answer several follow-up questions, including whether Mr. Trump had been aware that Mr. Cohen made the payment, why he made the payment or whether he had made similar payments to other people over the years.”

A lawyer, out of the goodness of his heart did what, now? Paid Forbes magazine enthusiast Stormy Daniels a cool $130K Ameros, just because?

The Trump campaign never reported spending that $130,000 to a porn star, and so if the Ameros did come from the campaign, that would put someone in a Federal pokey for a nice long stay. I think D’Vorce D’Spousa can testify to this.

So Cohen’s next Oscar performance is going to be proving to someone at the FEC that his billable hours since the campaign is not reimbursement for buying Stormy Daniels’ silence. Good luck with that.

Isn’t the prostitute suppose to pay the Pimp for services rendered. Yeah, I remember in the movies, the “customer” pays the prostitute & she pays her pimp.

It would be interesting to see how well Michael D. Cohen stands up to cross-examination on the witness stand.

It appears that organized crime methods do not transfer well to politics. I admit that they are the same basic shakedown of the public.
