Little Kremlin-on-the-Potomac

“Run, little Trumpling, run!”

A new name has entered the Obstruction of Justice saga of Comrade Trump, and we should add him to our cast of characters: Mark Corallo.

Mark Corallo was a member of Donald Trump’s legal team (he left in July 2017), handling communication with the media. Corallo quit because he was certain what he saw was Obstruction of Justice.

Oh. Really?

“Former spokesman Mark “Corallo is planning to tell Mr. Mueller about a previously undisclosed conference call with Mr. Trump and Hope Hicks … Mr. Corallo planned to tell investigators that Ms. Hicks said during the call that emails written by Donald Trump Jr. before the Trump Tower meeting — in which the younger Mr. Trump said he was eager to receive political dirt about Mrs. Clinton from the Russians — ‘will never get out.’ That left Mr. Corallo with concerns that Ms. Hicks could be contemplating obstructing justice, the people said. In a statement on Wednesday, a lawyer for Ms. Hicks strongly denied Mr. Corallo’s allegations.”

I read last night, and I cannot find the source now, that Hope Hicks said it on a conference call without any lawyers present, which means that the statement is not protected by client-lawyer privilege.

Newsweek:

“In the early to mid-2000s, Corallo was press secretary and public affairs director for the Department of Justice, serving as the chief spokesman for then–Attorney General John Ashcroft. During that time, Mueller was FBI director, and Corallo and Mueller reportedly were close.”

Hope Hicks might just be in a world of trouble.

Well if Hicks is the one boffing the boss she can count on a pardon from 45. After all he’s nothing if not loyal.

Just ask any of his three wives. or Omarosa, or Steve Bannon, or Sean Spicer, or Scaramucci, or Chris Christy.

Maybe it’s a good thing Sessions wants to crank up the private prisons. There could be an influx of people requiring incarceration.

    Dear President Trump,
If you really must destroy out republic and surrender our sovereignty over to foreign control, can’t we AT LEAST make America Great Britain again. I think I’d prefer that to the status of a Soviet satellite.
