The Morning Quote (This is Nuts, Part Infinity)

(Credit: @MemphisJohnny1)

Comrade Stupid sat down with theNYTimes WITHOUT A HANDLER:

“‘Another reason that I’m going to win another four years is because newspapers, television, all forms of media will tank if I’m not there because without me, their ratings are going down the tubes,’ Mr. Trump said, then invoked one of his preferred insults. ‘Without me, The New York Times will indeed be not the failing New York Times, but the failed New York Times.’ He added: ‘So they basically have to let me win. And eventually, probably six months before the election, they’ll be loving me because they’re saying, ‘Please, please, don’t lose Donald Trump.’ O.K.’”

And for our compare and contrast session of the day, this post at Crooks & Liars is essential reading. Yes, it is based upon Morning Joe, but it’s worthy of your time.

And that lead to the “brutal takedown” of an anti-Clinton smear at the NYT. Money quote from that, IMO – “You had the government confirming that it was a criminal referral,” Mr. Baquet said. “I’m not sure what they could have done differently on that.”
What could they have done differently? Hey, their anonymous gov’t source LIED to them, according to the article, isn’t there a story in that, that their government source is in the tank for ‘anyone but Hillary’? Sounds like a story to me, one that doesn’t get play in the big media. They just keep going along with all the smears, even now after she has said, essentially, that’s it, I’m retired from public life – had enough of it.

Is this an admission that media manipulation affected the outcome of the 2016 election?

      Sadly, no.

However, this is proof that he’s mentally incompetent to stand trial, and possibly use a can opener.

For generations to come Donald Trump will be the textbook example of what happens if you exceed the normal restrictions of “The Peter Principle”.
