It Takes Some Brass: Fake News Contest from Comrade Stupid

The new Quatloo is released.

“At President Trump’s request, we are holding a contest to name the 2017 KING of Fake News. And we want to hear from you.”

Axios tells us that this was an email from the Make America Great Again committe, which is a joint project between the RNC and the Trump presidential campaign.

Their suggested list:

  • The ABC News story incorrectly claiming Trump ordered Michael Flynn to contact Russian officials while a candidate. He actually did this as president-elect. ABC has since corrected the story
  • The CNN story claiming Trump and Trump Jr. were given access to WikiLeaks documents. This was actually publicly available information, and CNN has corrected the story.
  • TIME reporting that a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. was removed from the Oval Office by Trump. TIME corrected that story, and the reporter apologized.

If there really is a King of Fake News, it is a certain Palm Beach property owner with a Staten Island tan.

I dunno, I think that Comrade Trump’s “win” might be the Fake News story of the year, if not of all eternity.

I think that shade of orange is called orangu-tan.

If those three suggestions are the best they can come up with — minor errors of detail that the news sources corrected as soon as they were spotted — then there’s not much to this. As for the King bust, don’t forget the case when the wingnuts went bonkers over a story about Obama removing a bust of Churchill, supposedly because of antipathy to the British Empire due to his Kenyan roots. The truth was rather different.

At the request of the ass hat who spent years searching for obamas real birth certificate.

I’m betting the popularity contest he lost is eating at him. This is just one expression.

    There will be more.

they really want to know who should be crowned ‘king of fake news’? really? i would think that would be so obvious seeing as how he thinks he’s ‘king’ already and he does love gold things, he just only wears his crown around the house. the robe, however, is terry cloth.
