Rainbow Chips? Naw, Starnes is crackers

Fox News’ living cracker barrel Todd Starnes was not happy that Memphis’ Confederate Traitor Statues were taken down:

Smarmy and oleaginous, Traitor Tots Starnes has made an awe-shucks career out of grifting the racist rubes, bless his heart. Notice that his avatar is his most recent tome, The Deplorables Guide to something-or-other. He cashed in on that phrase even though he didn’t coin it.

That dickhead can shove it up his smarmy, lying ass. The City Council voted to sell off the parks to privatize them, under the conditions that they would remain public spaces…and those who bought the parks took the statues down. It’s business, baby.

The Mayor desecrated a gravesite? I don’t know whose gravesite was desecrated, but it wasn’t Lee’s.

It was that Forrest guy (Nathan Bedford, I guess), whose mouldy bones had already been moved once, or so I read. And they did not get moved again, just the traitor statues.

Nathan Bedford Forrest, whose statue was removed, was a founder of the KKK. Jefferson Davis was, d’oh, President of the Confederacy. Both were rank Traitors to the United States.

Forrest is still buried in the park where his statue was. (Dog walker alert!)

Also, for the record, Strickland is the first white mayor of Memphis (a majority black city) in memory.
