Rep. Tim Murphy Aborts His Career

Axios reports:

Pennsylvania Rep. Tim Murphy is resigning from the House of Representatives, effective October 21, per Speaker Paul Ryan’s office. Murphy announced yesterday that he wouldn’t be seeking reelection in 2018 after news broke that he’d pushed his mistress to have an abortion.

  1. That’s cold. They didn’t even let him say he was resigning, they just announced it. I guess it IS possible to screw the pooch hard enough for the GOP to give a shit.

    I assumed Murphy was going to enjoy Congresscritter perks, along with the sweet paychecks, until early 2019. October 21st is OK by me.
