Rep. Jeff Duncan: Silent but Deadly

You WILL improve your posture!

Tiger Beat on the Potomac (thanks Charlie!) tells us…

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) is renewing his controversial push to make it easier to buy gun silencers, a debate that had been postponed following the shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) in June.

Duncan included the silencer provision in a broader bill, the “Sportsmen Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act,” or SHARE Act. There are several gun-related items in the package, which is being marked up by the Natural Resources Committee this week.

If by sportsman, you mean Mafia hitman, vengence-seeking exes, and vigilantes of all kinds.

I don’t think you need to cap an antelope in such a way that there are no witnesses. I can hardly wait for the NRA’s deadliest weapon Dana Loesch to tell us sniveling hippies the reason the Second Amendment demands silencers.

You need a silencer for hunting timid forest ponies?

You do if you’re poaching, acting out your American Sniper fantasies, or an ammosexual in need of extra stimulation.

It’s because of their earnest concern for the hearing of the gun fetishists. Seriously. These meat sacks are all about the welfare of the people.

That’s the pitch? Seriously? I think they could better if they said it was so they could hear their victims scream.

I’ve put a silencer on Loesch.
