Eiron, The Goddess of Irony, Laughed So Hard She Farted

Hebephrenic TeeVee Dinner heir, vanity press owner, and Black Studies scholar Tucker Carlson tries to defend noted SPLC-designated hate group, The Family Research Center:

“Well, to call someone a hate group is to lump them in, in the popular mind, in my mind anyway, with like Nazis and crazy people, violent people, truly scary people….”

And that’s the Family Research Center right there, Tuck. You can put away your none-too-bright Beagle look, interview is over.

“You would think that any normal reporter, no matter how liberal, would be looking through the list of hate groups, so-called hate groups, and say, ‘You know, OK, some of them are clearly hateful and crazy.’”

We repeat ourselves: that’s the M.O. of the The Family Research Center: being hateful and crazy. But nice use of normal.

“It’s not a hate group, it’s a Christian Group.”

And that’s when Eiron, the Goddess of Irony, laughed so hard she farted. Spend any time of the FRC website, look at their positions, look at their proposals, listen to their words: it is a hate group.

And I keep reminding people of this: the KKK is a Christian organization.

Jeebus Saves

It’s all about the company you keep, and The Family Research Council is full of bigots and haters.

The reason that “Southern Baptists” exist is because the regular Baptists came out against slavery in 1845 causing a split with their southern brethren who, of course, were dedicated to preserving the “peculiar institution”. Then again, the FRC probably regards slavery as a cultural artifact and not as an example of institutional hatred, so….
