Time Travel Pass, Please- I’d Like to Abort Several People, Thanks!

Our fearless MPS EIC, Tengrain, sent me this article, Progressivism’s Political Litmus Test: Worship at the Altar of Abortion. The first sentence was also treat, “A compliant progressive must worship at the altar of abortion.”

No. No. And, no.

Under the guise of… you guessed it, Christianity, the ACLJ’s entire argument against abortion is rooted in propaganda and perpetuating a bat shit crazy false narrative.

False narrative: “Big Abortion and its of millions of dollars of campaign contributions are nothing more than pay to play – payment for sacrificing one’s soul and America’s children on the altar of abortion.”

Slow your overly-dramatic and wildly inappropriate roll, assholes. “Big abortion.” Sound familiar? It should. Think, “Big Pharma.” The hypocrisy feels like razor blades scraping my dermis. Said like they don’t pour millions into anti-abortion, right wing zealot politician’s coffers. The “Alter of abortion,” is meant to sound cultish, so their readers imagine democrats wearing cloaks, playing “Spin the Wheel of Abortions in Dungeons.”

Hardcore Propaganda: “Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and the entire abortion industry have laid down the gauntlet – all abortion all the time, AKA abortion on demand. The political litmus test pushed by these “progressive” Big Abortion groups automatically fails any party, religion, or creed that is not in full compliance with their doctrine of death.”

No. No. And, no.

Thanks for grossly misrepresenting women’s reproductive rights with the added bonus of righteous condemnation. I wish there was abortion on demand. I wish underage girls didn’t have to seek permission from their parents to have a safe and legal abortion. I wish women weren’t forced to go to court and beg for an abortion. I wish all women in every single state had the freedom to choose abortion without flying Transvaginental first.

What the ACLJ fails to understand, like all pro-lifers, is that women are equal to men. Unfortunately, we have to fight to be treated as such. Men have reproductive autonomy. Women do not. Women are punished for heinous crimes against them, such as rape and molestation. Men are not. Women who dress provocatively are considered sluts and whores,* asking to be raped. Men can wear whatever they want without any stigmas attached. Women can’t fuck as many men as we wish, otherwise we’re characterized as “unworthy of being relationship material.” Men are not. Women are told that our bodies don’t belong to us. Men are not. Healthcare for women is a joke, unless you’re lucky enough to find good doctors. From contraception, to abortion, to being mistreated for a physical ailment, at which point they implore you to seek counseling. Why? Because apparently every issue under the sun is caused by the almighty vagina.

Let’s not forget what Trump said, that women who get an abortion should be punished. Men can have vasectomies without punishment. We are not second class citizens, yet organizations like the ACLJ are designed to make us feel like we are; and incapable of making decisions about our bodies and reproductive health.

Perverting and distorting religion: “At the ACLJ we have a different view. We believe the first right of every human is life. It is endowed by our Creator. All other rights rest upon the fundamental right to life. No matter the party, religion, or creed, life is paramount and to be protected. We will not stop defending it.”

No. No. And, super no.

  • *Buddhism: The Dalai Lama has said that abortion is “negative,” but there are exceptions. He said, “I think abortion should be approved or disapproved according to each circumstance
  • *Christianity: There is scholarly disagreement on how early Christians felt about abortion, and no explicit prohibition of abortion in either the Old Testament or New Testament books of the Christian Bible
  • *Islam: Some schools of Muslim law permit abortion in the first sixteen weeks of pregnancy, whereas others only allow it in the first seven weeks of pregnancy. The Qur’an does not specifically mention abortion, but it skirts the issue
  • *Judaism: The Talmud states that a fetus is not legally a person until it is delivered

We need to call these fuckers out. Make donations to Planned Parenthood in their name. Pummel them with emails, citing the damage they’re doing to women, and leaving comments with accurate information.

My body. My choice.

  • *By the way, I am reclaiming slut and whore as positive terms that mean I am a sexually empowered and enlightened woman. Nobody can take that away from me.

Thank you Katie. It’s just an incredible world that the forced birthers have created for themselves and expect the rest of us to live in, especially women, who seem to be nothing more than incubators to them.
