I’m sure by now everyone has heard about Senator John McCain (R-Cruel Bastard). The man for whom – just the other day – everyone on the intertubes was showing compassion is risking his health to fly back to DC to vote to take your health care away.
He’s not doing that to make symbolic show. McConnell thinks he has the votes with McCain there to seal the deal.
A call to action:
We need to get on the phones to the R’s and hammer them with the clear messages:
- Keyword: “Hands Off My Obamacare!”
- Keyword: “Oppose repeal of the ACA.”
- Keyword: “See you at Town Hall.”
You must tell your R Senators, in no uncertain terms, that they are to oppose repeal of the ACA.
Don’t wait until after work. Call them now.
Call at lunch, call during your drive home and call after dinner. Send emails and walk into their offices.
Please call your D Senators and offer them support. We are the backbone of the Democratic Party, they cannot stand for anything without us there supporting them every single minute.
Fight back. We must be as relentless in our resistance as the R’s are in their efforts to undermine the country we have inherited.
Have no doubt we are engaged in a fight for our “lives”.
From dKos… make the calls not. Hell make two, make twenty. We need your voice because these R’s won’t listen to me. I’m not their constituent or a lobbyist.
If you are represented by one these undecided senators, it is imperative you pick up the phone and call every single one of their offices.

Update x2: Can you say “Kabuki“?
Republican Sens. Susan Collins (Maine) and Lisa Murkoswki (Alaska) voted against the motion to proceed. If all other Republicans vote yes, Vice President Mike Pence will cast the deciding vote to break the tie.
So far, no Democrats have cast a vote.
Phone calls, please.
Update x4: We lost this battle. The war goes on.
Thanks for trying.
