Activism: Saving The ACA: It Ain’t Over ‘Till The Fat Lady Sings

To paraphrase Admiral John Paul Jones when asked to surrender his ship and his crew to the British We have not yet begun to fight.”

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead!

Henry V, Act III, Scene I

Ok folks, Bernie Sanders is on this and he’s applying the pressure on Republicans.

Sanders has been a Senator for a long time, so he knows all the Senate rules. It’s great we have Sanders experience on our side, so we can tear apart Trumpcare with every Senate procedure available.

Senate Parliamentarian just ruled the “Age Tax” is subject to the Byrd Rule.

Big blow here for the Republicans Trumpcare wealth care plan for America.

The “Age Tax” basically charges older Americans 5 times more under Trumpcare, than what it charges younger individuals. This was a feature in their plan that the AARP was strongly against.

We can, we must continue to fight and we cannot for a moment afford to believe we cannot win.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has. –

Margaret Mead

This battle is lost, but the war goes on. Please have no doubt that your children and grandchildren will be fighting this same war, just as we continue to fight for Social Security.

We are not defeated. As long as we work together we are strong, and we are dangerous.
