The Morning Quote (and more)

Amply be-chinned Mitch McConnell

Amply be-chinned Mitch McConnell put down his chip and called the bluff of Wingnuttia, the New Confederacy, Y’all Qaeda, and the Ayn Rand Fan Club:

“Regretfully, it is now apparent that the effort to repeal and immediately replace the failure of Obamacare will not be successful. So, in the coming days, the Senate will vote to take up the House bill with the first amendment in order being what a majority of the Senate has already supported in 2015 and that was vetoed by then-President Obama: a repeal of Obamacare with a two-year delay.”

The translation from the original Weasel-speak:

Eff-you! We’ll vote on repeal only now — you assholes voted for it before, when the Kenyan Usurper was president, and you knew he’d veto it. Let’s see you change your vote now!

This puts the entire blame on the so-called Moderates, too, so expect to watch them get primary challengers and all the trouble that will bring. You thought that they couldn’t govern before? Well watch them now!

So for McConnell this is a win-win. Remember, his only goal is to give tax cuts to filthy rich people who do not need them, like his in-laws. Ol’ Mitch is going to move onto the alleged Tax Reform where they all can agree on the Paris Hilton Needs More Money Act.
