MPS Stands With London

My thoughts (and yes, prayers) are with the UK today.

A lot of Brits read this blog, and I have a lot of friends over in Old Blighty. I try to avoid putting my US point of view on international incidents: I’m not qualified in any way, shape, or form to comment. That said, I will comment on our American bad behavior:

Internment camps? Petunia and Pals can go straight to hell.

  1. Is that Nigel Farage? Ugh, I truly loathe that man. He gets off on things like this just so he can push his anti immigration agenda. Even though many of the attackers end up being British born, and become disillusioned due to said agenda and the British foreign policy (although people like to pretend that it’s not the case).

Our right wingers never, Never, NEVER talk about home-grown, white, Christian terrorism. It destroys their racist xenophobic narrative.

      • It is the same here. If you’re white, it’s not terrorism, if you’re brown, it’s terrorism. That’s more or less how it goes. Just last week in the UK a white youth was sentenced to 15 years or so in a juvenile facility for planting a bomb on the Tube. I can’t count the number of times he was called a terrorist on one hand.

Did he say that if anyone fights in Syria they should never be let back into Britain? I think he did. I’d suggest that headquarters for the Klan, for Neo-Nazis and for MRA groups be set up abroad if I thought there was the slightest chance that they would be refused re-entry to the US for their involvement in terrorist organizations. I guess the best chance would be to ensure they pick a country with no Trump properties. (Ha – I said chance, like there is one)

Farage reminds me of Varga on this season of “Fargo.” That’s not a compliment.
