Buffoon is Buffoonish

Pro-tip: “If you want to exert executive privilege, don’t fire the guy.” — Jeremy Bash to Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC

This is the thing: The Russian Usurper cannot stop recently fired, private citizen James Comey from having a press conference/writing a column/writing a book (assuming he’s not under one of Trump’s NDAs), even if he can somehow demand that the House and Senate don’t interview him. And if he did demand that, boy, would that be a red flag that there’s a fire to go with the smoke.

So in addition to the inside the White House War Room, the Russian Usurper is trying to set up an outside war room (Axios morning email thingie):

Fight Club: Trump is scrambling to set up an outside war camp — possibly run by former campaign operatives David Bossie and Corey Lewandowski — to battle Comey’s charges. A top official tells me it’s hard to bring these guys inside because of their reputations and styles. So one option, reported last night by Fox’s Ed Henry, is an outside group set up as a 501(c)4 nonprofit. A Trump aide told me it’d be a way to get the campaign band back together in time of need.

I think we’re gonna need more popcorn gifs before this is over.

Popcorn, anyone?

Gosh, hope they don’t have trouble with the IRS approving their application for a nonprofit Social Welfare Organization or 501(c)4.

rather hard to even discuss pulling an executive privilege bunny out of their ass….i mean ‘hat’…when he’s even discussed the case with the russians and people from his own administration have been talking about it for weeks, keeping it on top of the newsfeed. but, then again, he’s ‘new’ so if he thinks something sounds good, why not? it would be so nice to add and obstruction-of-justice charge to the growing list for impeachment.
