Happy Hour News Briefs
National Organization for Marriage (NOM) founder (and abandoner) and noted unwed mother, Maggie Gallagher, the sad, lonely fan of finger-banging impresario Carrie Prejean (she of high dudgeon and low [fake] cleavage, and lower morals), put down her shower massager long enough to tap out a column. It begins thusly:
The Keystone Report recently published a poll. It was commissioned by the American Principles Project. (Full disclosure: I am an APP senior fellow).
It showed two things. First, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf (D) is in trouble. Second, there is a huge opportunity for social conservatives to go on offense against the Left’s transgender extremism.
Just 35% of Pennsylvania voters favor Wolf; 43% rate him unfavorably. On the second point, 71% said they were less likely to vote for Wolf — that is, once they learned about his transgender extremism.
That’s the good news. Here’s the great news: Once they hear of his transgender policies, 51% of Democrats say they are less likely to support Wolf.
This is a huge political opportunity for social conservatives.
Political Opportunity is for political opportunists, fixed it for you, Maggie.
Given how you cut bait and ran from NOM when you saw that it was going down in flames to marriage equality, political opportunism is your stock-in-trade, just like when you sold out journalism ethics to take payola from Chimpy to promote marriage AND DID NOT DISCLOSE THAT.
Anyway, she goes on at some length discussing how unfair it was that NC Gov. Pat McCrory was expunged from the public only because he wouldn’t let the ‘mos have civil rights and wouldn’t let the non-cisgendered people pee in his state. Essentially this piece is a bit of revenge porn: it probably felt good to her to bang it out (see what I did there?) but ultimately probably left her feeling empty and with aching arms and hands.
