Get Off The Cross, Someone Else Needs the Wood:

In a letter to Hillsborough schools superintendent Jeff Eakins, the Liberty Counsel alleges that Riverview High math teacher Lora Jane Riedas barred at least three students from wearing Christian crosses on necklaces in her classroom, claiming they are “gang symbols.”

As you might recall, Liberty Council is the (pseudo?) law firm of Mat Staver, who is the man who made Gawd’s Own Filing Clerk, Kim Davis, a household name. This kinda-sorta sounds like Xristian Xrazy fan-fic if not slash-fic. What else have you got, Mat?

The organization also claims Riedas takes part in LGBT political activism in the classroom.

“She turned me into a newt.”

Witnesses? Complaints? Any evidence?

Tanya Arja, a spokeswoman for the school district, said Eakins had received the letter and contacted Riverview High’s principal to begin an investigation.

“However, the principal says she has not received a complaint from any student or parent regarding any claims made in the Liberty Counsel document regarding this teacher,” Arja said.

I was thinking that she might have a point on the gang sign thing, you know, if it was actually within the believaverse that she actually banned crosses. Look at what this gang is attempting to do to her. They just use accusations and bs instead of knives and knuckles for weapons.
It’s getting to the point that I can just pre-respond to practically anything with “Oh, FFS!” and be confident it will fit the circumstance.
