I’ve been to a clarinet recital. This would be worse, but not by much.

The doctor’s finger wave is bad enough.

  5. Per a misquote by Ian Fleming in “Live and Let Die” (the novel, not the movie) it is ‘an ill woodwind nobody blows good’ attributed to Count Basie.

(which quote was actually about the oboe, and no one is really sure who said it. Google is a fucking miracle of the modern age…in another century I might have been forced to get up out of my chair, find the book and riffle through it to find the quote. Qel horror!)

[snort] Years ago in NYC the organist at the church I attended gave regular recitals. One of them was announced thusly: “On Sunday there will be a recital featuring [works by Bach] at 4 PM. [The organist’s name] will beat the organ.” For the lack of a space…

Perhaps this is the introduction not a new line of “this one time, at band camp…” themed adult toys.
