About That Death Spiral…

Even with the direct sabotage of Hair Führer when he cancelled the ad campaign to remind us all to enroll in the 2017 healthcare year…

About 12.2 million people signed up for ObamaCare plans during the 2017 enrollment period, the Trump administration announced Wednesday.

The total falls short of the Obama administration’s projected signups of 13.8 million people, and is slightly down from the 2016 enrollment period, when 12.7 million people signed up for plans…

Of those who signed up for plans for 2017, 31 percent were new customers, the Trump administration said.

81 percent had their premiums reduced through a subsidy.

So you can see how unpopular the Affordable Care Act is and how Americans are longing to go to the ER room for cancer treatment again.

Heard a woman on Indivisible the other night righteously claim that not only was it her gawd given right to not purchase health insurance, but she also didn’t expect anyone else to pay for it.

‘course, what little miss alt-right snowflake either elided, or was too dumb to understand, was that the cost of her (possible) emergency appendectomy at her local ER gets passed around to all other insureds in the form of higher rates.

Though you can gawddamned betcha Paul Ryan understands that….

I’m old enough to remember when the US was at the top of the charts for life expectancy. That woman’s attitude is one reason that statistic is falling like Trump’s approval numbers.
