Okay, so by now everyone’s read Wonkette’s great story about the Zombie-eyed Granny Starver hiding the healthcare repeal-n-replace draft, right? If not, I’ll wait here.
OK, so now that you’re up to date on that little finger-eff, here’s Tiger Beat on the Potomac (thanks Charlie!) telling us: “Take it to the bank, GOP leaders are all but declaring: The House will vote to repeal and replace by the end of this month.” Which should be a pretty good trick if they cannot even find it to read it.
“We’re all working off the same piece of paper, the same plan,” Ryan said at a Thursday news conference when asked about conservative opposition. “We are in sync — the House, the Senate and the Trump administration, because this law is collapsing.”
Privately, senior Republican lawmakers and staff are more blunt. They say they have no problem steamrolling conservatives by daring them to vote against an Obamacare repeal that their constituents have demanded for years.
Whatever it is (our prediction: 2 free Aspirins a year, one extra for the ladies to hold between their knees), I don’t see how they can pass anything without have a budget, and they are no where near a budget. And because it is not yet even a bill, the CBO has not scored it for costs.
My best guess is that Ryancare (see what I did there?) is premature for a March birth.
