The Death of the Media, Cont.

Before there was Fox News...

Before there was Fox News…

Usually when we poke fun at the press, it is because they are doing something stupid that destroys their (shredded) credibility. I mean who amongst us has not cast the proverbial first stone at Cokie Roberts, amiright?

But it is a completely different matter when the government is actively destroying the media’s cred:

This is absolutely from the How To Be A Fascist handbook. When the preznint decides who can cover his administration and who cannot, authoritarianism cannot be far behind. Also/too consider this: the media outlets he’s banned have been covering his (alleged) corruption with Russia. This is outrageous.

This is not normal. Write this down in your notebooks. Don’t let this become the new normal.

As long as this is their stance, NO media outlets should cover their pressers!

“As the show’s executive producer, I envisioned something akin to “Gilligan’s Island” meets Lord of the Flies meets Ten Little Indians mets “The Real World.” “Survivor” marks a return to a core element of adventure: staying alive.” – Mark Burnett, Survivor!: The Ultimate Game

The press needs to treat the White House as nothing less than adversarial. Nothing from the White House should be taken at face value. There is no benefit of doubt with this White House.
