The Afternoon Quote

The right to life ends at birth.

The right to life ends at birth.

One News Now:

“[Refugees] are seeking asylum; they are seeking safety,” he says. “And so, I would think a preborn child is very akin to a refugee. They are simply trying to escape the persecution of an abortion-driven culture.”

Consequently, Fisher concludes, Americans who “clamor” for the rights of foreign refugees can’t be taken seriously. It’s “nonsensical [and] hypocritical,” he says, to argue for the rescue and protection of one group of human beings who are vulnerable while “passionately arguing for the death of another vulnerable group.”

And once again Y’all Qaeda prove to us that the right to life ends at birth.

Hey, I can play this word game as well!

Preborn children are simply trying to escape the persecution of an abortion-driven culture. And so, I would think a refugee is very akin to a preborn child. Refugees are seeking asylum; they are seeking safety.

Bad analogies – as American as orange pie.

A very large part of my “pro-abortion” stance is the HEALTH OF THE MOTHER.
My daughter is an RN and has served a year in the NICU at our state’s largest hospital and there ARE times that an abortion is necessary and the only sane option and people who do not believe that should have to spend some time in the NICU.

Except that you can bet this writer doesn’t give a shit about refugees, especially if they are brown. So the argument is both nonsense and hypocrisy.

Who is doing what, now? The refugees are trying to escape the persecution of an abortion driven culture by emigrating to the nation that is allegedly an abortion driven culture? The fetus is trying to escape the persecution of … being a fetus?

While we’re improperly attributing intentionality to fetuses … Since the fetus is content to remain absolutely dependent on the mother, the fetus implicitly cedes any and all rights to the mother. If that fetus wants to escape the persecution of an abortion driven culture, it had better escape the fuck out of that womb.

IOW, “I MADE YOU ABORT ME!”
