Sure the train crashed, but we are ahead of schedule.

Sure the train crashed, but we are ahead of schedule.

Welcome to the Occupied States of America, fellow proles and serfs.

Yes, the unelected Russian Usurper Donald Trump is confirmed by the Electoral College (with the largest number of “faithless voters” in US History), and so we have an illegitimate government starting January 20th, the beginning of the glorious Fourth Reich.

The drama of the shot-less overthrow of the government wasn’t without its own amusing moments:

OLYMPIA, Wash. – For the first time in four decades, members of the Electoral College in Washington state have broken from the state’s popular vote for president, with four electors casting their votes for candidates other than Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Clinton got eight votes, while former Secretary of State Colin Powell got three and Native American tribal leader Faith Spotted Eagle got one vote.

And of course, there was this great moment:

…You know, because his purity is more important than what’s going to happen to the country over the next 4 years. And that, friends, is the very object-lesson of white privilege.

Leave it to us libs to get the message right, but the action wrong. Clinton’s number of electoral votes went down, not up. Trump’s EC voters remained consistent. You have to give credit to the Republicans: they get in line and do as they are told, and that takes some discipline.

The NYTimes is now calling for an end to the Electoral College, and I think we will join that action too.

Meanwhile, as fellow co-conspirator Osirisopto says, we need to fix the Dims as our highest priority.

And we need some message discipline. We need to always say that Trump did not win the popular vote (by nearly 3 million votes) and that he does not have a mandate. Every time we mention him, it needs to have some sort of reminder that his term in office is illegitimate. We need to keep reminding people (and future historians) that there was robust, sustained objection to whatever comes next.

How about “President” Donald J. Trump (R-Second Place)?

No question, the two most urgent items are a) resurrecting the 50 state strategy and b) providing absolute resistance to the new fascist clown President. Otherwise, the Democratic Party will go the way of the Whigs or become a bi-coastal regional party without any influence on national policy. This will still be the case even if, as I expect, Trump will not last a year in office because the hard men of the extreme right are in charge. (Also, the EC will not be abolished unless the GP decides it’s no longer useful to them.)

I’m sorry but Hillary Clinton was the most qualified candidate for President in my experience. Lifetime of public service, Flotus, Senator, SoS. The only people more qualified than her are no longer eligible for the job.

Her problem in my mind is that she’s DLC or moderate republican and a war hawk.

David Mulinix needs to familiarize himself with a dictionary, specifically the definition of the word “disingenuous”.

Saying he voted for Bernie because he liked him, or thought he would be a better President is fine. Saying he voted for Bernie because Clinton is unqualified isn’t purity it’s a load of bullshit.

This guys statement is proof that the generational propaganda campaign the GOP did on Clinton was more effective and reached deeper into the American psyche than we can ever imagine.
This is further proof of the failed leadership on the part of the Democrats that they would present such a flawed candidate. After 24 years of propaganda Putin has more credibility with half the country than Clinton did.

Focus and fight for a change, but not each other
