Building a Better VocabularyHey guys, remember when President-elect Hair Führer tweeted…
In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 27, 2016
…and then he tweeted this:
Serious voter fraud in Virginia, New Hampshire and California – so why isn't the media reporting on this? Serious bias – big problem!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 28, 2016
And now some headlines in reaction to these tweets:
- Donald Trump’s bogus claim that millions of people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton, and I should add awarded Hair Führer 4 Pinocchios
- TRUMP PROMOTES A BASELESS CLAIM ON ILLEGAL VOTING … NO PROOF OF ‘MILLIONS’
- Donald Trump alleges widespread voter fraud in California. There’s no evidence to back it up
- Trump takes aim at ‘millions’ of voters … As recount efforts are stepped up, president-elect responds with new claims of fraud
Thesaurus.com got quite a workout as the MSM tried to find a way to avoid saying that noted lying liar Donald Trump lied AGAIN.
What is so hard about saying plainly and clearly that Trump is a liar and that he lied again? He lies reflexively, needlessly. Trump does not lie strategically (to deliberately change the topic, for instance), he lies over little things and big things.
And the Media lets him get away with it. The POTUS lying was just normalized.
As PeOTUS, he has an outsized microphone; his word can move markets and set agendas all around the world. He just undermined US democracy, he is destroying the USA brand. What little moral authority we had left in the world after all of Chimpy’s Great Adventure and the Kenyan’s drone strikes is gone in the tweet of a moment.
