How To Deflect: Kellyann Conway Presents A Master Class

The Death of the Media

With a mighty squirt of ink, the giant squid Kellyann manages to avoid answering the interviewer’s question about why Steve Bannon will not be interviewed by the press:

…and manages having to avoid saying that it is EXACTLY because he is such a frightening fascist (¿neo-?)Nazi creep that they know not to put his fat, racist, misogynist, bigoted mug on teevee for fear that everyone will see the monster that he is: It would scare the children, the nations pets would crap on the carpet, and the chickens would stop laying eggs.

Conway is really good at not answering. I gotta give her credit. And no follow-on questions. Amazing.

Surely it’s not because he’s afraid of political correctness.

I expected her to be named press secretary. She lies better than Baghdad Bob.

One would think that his ego would override what any dumb broad thinks.

It sort of reminds me of that episode of Star Trek TOS in which there is an Evil Spock in a parallel universe. Somewhere in one of the grand speeches I think the good Spock notes that while civilized people can pass for savages, savages cannot pass for civilized people. And that’s how he knew to lock up Evil Kirk.

I think Conway knows that they cannot let Bannon get near a mic: he’s a savage.

I’ve been thinking of that episode in this regard. I have, in fact, been holding up hope for the savages to have a difficult time infiltrating because their savagery would give them away. Since hope is a deceiver I won’t really trust it, but I’ll look for it.
The episode is “Mirror, Mirror”, by the way. One of the messages was about how vulnerable we are to relapsing into savagery because of how close cavitation is to savagery. Roddenberry scores again.
