The new poll out today from Pew Research Center shows that the Yutes of Today are less religious than ever.

It seems that the more the Millenials see of Y’all Qaeda shoving their self-righteous fetus-fondling god-bothering ways upon us, the less they like religion:

… the oldest Millennials, now in their late 20s and early 30s, are generally less observant than they were seven years ago. If these trends continue, American society is likely to grow less religious even if those who are adults today maintain their current levels of religious commitment.

And this chart fascinated me:

The “Nones,” the people without professing a faith, are now the single, largest block of Democratic voters; perhaps someone at the DNC should alert the campaigns that they are screwing themselves trying to appeal to the religious?

So each time the theocrats try to impose Biblical law—forced birth, shoving the gays back into the closet, etc.—they are alienating the growing part of the population, and perhaps (though not directly answered in the poll) motivating the Millenials to oppose them.

It’s the hypocrisy which tends to alienate people… well, that and the kid-diddling and violent rhetoric.
