How married are y’all, Sugar?

A Baton Rouge teevee reporter was fired shortly after he asked Sen. Vitter (R- Pampers) about his history with the World’s Oldest Profession:

“A Baton Rouge television reporter was fired Tuesday several hours after a confrontation with U.S. Sen. David Vitter, and he claimed later that he lost his job because Vitter’s gubernatorial campaign threatened to pull its ads from the station.

“Reporter Derek Myers confronted Vitter about his 2007 admission that he had committed a “very serious sin” in connection with a prostitution ring several years earlier.

“A Vitter campaign spokesman and the station’s general manager said nobody from the campaign called the station and threatened to pull the ads.”

Vitter is now officially running for Governor to fill the very empty suit that noted boy exorcist and volcano scholar Bobby Jindal is leaving in the closet of the executive mansion. This confrontation between the reporter and Vitter was in the parking lot just after Vitter turned in his candidacy paperwork, so the campaign is off to a great start!

I hope people bring boxes of diapers to his campaign speeches, and town halls.

  2. At least we know nearly unlimited campaign spending, much of it fed to the media, won’t distort politics or create an even bigger imbalance of power, because the Supreme Court said so.

Let’s not forget the people of Louisiana, to their shame, re-elected Diaper Dave to the Senate. I’m not optimistic about him losing in the Governor’s race.

Thank god the righteous news fired that libelous reported for asking about blatantly false accusations…that the candidate admitted.

Wait, I’m confused. How does journalism work again?
